What is Chinese Feng Shui

The Chinese culture of Feng Shui has a long history and is an important discipline in ancient Chinese civilization. In Chinese society the concept of Feng Shui is widely applied in areas such as architecture, urban planning, and tomb design. It is believed that by arranging and orienting things appropriately, one can harmonize the energies of the natural world, bringing happiness, prosperity, and harmony to peoples lives. One of the core principles of Chinese Feng Shui is the theory of Yin and Yang and the five Elements. According to this theory, the natural world is categorized into five elements: wood, fire, earth, water and metal. Feng Shui utilizes these elements to balance the energy of the environment hereby enhancing peoples well – being and fortune.
